Paul continues to answer questions that his readers might ask concerning what he has written. In this section, he answers the possible question "if compliance to rules cannot save me, why should I even try?"

Discussion Questions
  1. Paul teaches that baptism marks the believer's "death to sin" and the beginning of a new life in Christ (Romans 6:3-7). How does this truth change the way we think about our daily struggles with sin?
  2. The lesson explains that through baptism we receive forgiveness, the Holy Spirit, fellowship with believers, and freedom from fear of judgment. Which of these blessings has had the most impact on your walk with Christ, and why?
  3. Paul says Christians should no longer "present [their] members to sin" but instead present themselves to God as instruments of righteousness (Romans 6:12-13). What are some practical ways we can live this out in our everyday lives?
  4. The original question Paul addresses is whether we should keep sinning so that grace may increase. Why do you think some people today still view God's grace as permission to sin rather than as power to live a transformed life?
