  1. Romans 8 teaches that grace both demands a spiritual life and provides the resources to live it. How have you experienced the tension between the demand of grace and the provision of the Holy Spirit in your own life?
  2. Paul explains that justification makes us completely acceptable before God, while sanctification is an ongoing process. How does understanding the difference between justification and sanctification affect the way we approach our spiritual growth?
  3. The Holy Spirit is described as leading, empowering, comforting, praying for, protecting, and ultimately resurrecting believers. Which of these roles of the Spirit do you find most personally encouraging, and why?
  4. Paul emphasizes that nothing can separate us from God's love in Christ, despite trials, suffering, or opposition. How does this assurance change the way you respond to challenges in your life?
