Dealing with Spiritual Emergencies
Personal Spiritual Growth
Sat. Feb 7th 2009
Sometimes in our lives, we face spiritual emergencies and I think we need to learn to prepare for these events as well, because everyone at one time or another will .. face a "spiritual" emergency of some kind.
In this session, Mike examines the basic attitude and habits all Christians must have in order to grow spiritually.
I believe all of us battle the debt demon and he has paralyzed many of us to the point where most of our time and effort and stress come from fighting off the Demon of Debt.
In order to motivate more people to experience the very special joy that comes with exercising this virtue, Mike will review what the Bible teaches concerning 'the love of strangers.'
Now that Jesus approaches Jerusalem, He is met with stiff opposition from the Pharisees and Priests who question both His teachings and legitimacy to teach.
In a society where machines are taking precedent over people, the church has an opportunity to offer something sorely lacking in the lives of many people -- real relationships with real people.
In this lesson, Mike explains the various ways a person can fulfill the command to honor one's mother.
Being Rich in a World of Poverty
Have you ever wondered why you feel so uncomfortable when a homeless person or a panhandler comes up to you asking for money on the street? Oh sure, their clothes and appearance as well as smell may push you back, but do you know what really causes the "gut" reaction you feel -- a little fear, a little guilt mixed together?
We have used BibleTalk.tv in small group studies and found them effective.
